Realme 5s specs and price in pakistan

Realme should come out by the Realme 5s specs and price (review) and 5 Pro (review) about two months back and now we have a new addition to the series in the form of the Realme 5S,

Chinese smartphone creator Realme has been laying siege at the Indian mid-range and budget market in the recent past by a slew about products. It seems pretty obvious that Realme has Xiaomi in its crosshairs, also both companies are trying to one-up the other, which in the end has been pretty beneficial to that consumer.

Realme should come out by the Realme 5 (review) and 5 Pro (review) about two months back and now we have a new addition to the series in the form of the Realme 5S, which should be launched alongside the company’s flagship Realme X2 Pro (review). Yet, if you were expecting some major performance boost or design changes, you would be mistaken. Realme has ported the main 48MP camera sensor from the 5 Pro to the 5 and rebranded the latter as 5S. A similar strategy had been implemented by Xiaomi for its Redmi Note 7 series smartphones wherein it replaced the Note 7 (review) with the Note 7S (review), which had also borrowed the 48 MP camera sensor for the Pro variant.

On this border, the Realme 5S is indistinguishable of the Realme 5 and that is not necessarily a bad thing. So how great is Realme’s implementation? I used the Realme 5S for a while also here is what I make from it.

Design and DisplayRealme 5s specs and Full review

As mentioned earlier, the Realme 5S’ design is almost the same as the Realme 5. It sports a still polycarbonate behind with a diamond-cut pattern reminiscent of this Realme 1 (review), a design language that I so much appreciate. Although as a personal choice, I am affected a little towards the dual-tone gradient complete consulted on the Redmi Note 8 (review) The glossy back indicates that the Realme 5S is one fingerprint magnet, this must become pretty leading a norm on budget phones nowadays. Besides, y'all are multiple likely going to slap a cover on the phone so that smudge-prone back should be of little concern.

A big 5,000mAh battery combined including a 6.5-inch display means that that phone is cumbersome to use with one hand, though these subtle hooks on the edges did provide me a good grip at the device. This slight protrusion about the quad-camera module performs the phone wobble when placed against a flat surface.

Extra design stories on the phone include a micro-USB port, headphone jack, plus speaker grill, full of which are located at the bottom, while we see the standard volume rockers and power buttons on the left and right front of the device respectively. Apart from that, there is also some fingerprint sensor which is located at the top half of the phone direct beside the camera module near that rear.

Talking more extra about this display of that phone, we see the same HD+ screen while on the Realme 5 along including the dewdrop notch plus small chin at the bottom. In our review like the latter, we had said that the quality of the display did not really up to the mark, as compared to phones like this Redmi Note 7S. Pitting that Realme 5S against the recently-launched Redmi Note 8, I saw that the Note 8’s screen should generally extra punchy colors, apart from that fact that that offers FHD+ resolution.

There is too no Widevine L1 certification at the Realme 5S which translates into you being able to stream only SD content above services such while Netflix including Amazon Prime Video. Nevertheless, like the Realme 5 ago, the 5S also has a colorful display which works great to browse under noisy sunlight.

While the Realme 5 came to escape, its eye-grabbing story was the quad-camera mark on this back, which did unheard of in that price segment. With that Redmi Note 8, Xiaomi decided on up this quad-camera game, which in shift has forced Realme’s hand into launching the 5S. Alike the Redmi Note 8, the Realme 5S also holds a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor as its primary camera while the other three sensors, which make the 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP ultra macro lens, plus a 2MP depth sensor, continue the same. Hence how good is the brand-new sensor on the Realme 5S? Quick answer, no extraordinary. Here’s a unique long answer.

Let’s talk on low light first, which is always a bane to budget smartphones. Let me more preface this by saying that we have come to an extremely long trend into computational photography, and what sub-Rs 10,000 phones can do in terms of shooting prowess presently would be impossible to imagine a few years back. Even then, Xiaomi appears to become done a stellar job being far as night photography does concerned and that appears Realme has some boarding up to do. Special Note 8 captures quite specific shots using this dedicated night mode with good exposure calibration, as evident in this image sample where street lamps are casting their light directly at the camera sensor. This Realme 5S does a great job overall of keeping that details and even the contrast, still there is a certain familiarity about the photo so as the leaves were not as focused as us can see in this Redmi Note 8 reach.

This same trend does see in daylight photos since well, wherein one Redmi Note 8 seems to do capturing more extra details overall and displays punchier colors. The Realme 5S gives good exposure calibration but should a much softer focus, skimming specifications on things such as the brambles you see in this picture

Each company’s Chroma boost feature, which increases saturation, does also not to my taste unless you would want to click Instagram-ready pictures. What’s more, that previous Realme 5 also churns out a very similar photo to the Realme 5S which has the advantage from the 48MP sensor, though admittedly whatever we see is a pixel-binned 12MP photo. Even so, that UHD 48MP mode on the Realme 5S was also no displaying because of much detail over the 12MP shots of the Realme 5 since I would’ve preferred.

This macro mode at the Realme 5S needs improvement plus what’s more, this device does not focus on objects closer than 4cm from this lens. While comparison, that Redmi Note 8 has a much wider nuanced macro mode which has better focusing and detail capturing capabilities. The ultra-wide sensor on both those phones is good but you can see distortions at the edges. Even so, I would again rate this Note 8 slightly higher as better color reproduction than the Realme 5S.

Because far as selfies remain concerned, both the Realme 5S plus Redmi Note 8 have 13MP front-facing cameras including for that most, we see decent photos at both. These details were fine at my face while the contrast looked slightly off on that Redmi Note 8 Pro. Portrait mode at both phones’ front cameras becomes skewed display calibrations with weak background separation, but this is something we expect from budget smartphones.

Performance, Software, and Battery

For an affordable device, that Realme 5S offers solid performance to its price. That Snapdragon 665 chipset found at the Realme 5 has been retained within the 5S, delivering almost at all speed-related aspects except to (understandably) gaming on high graphics and high frame rates. Basic tasks such as this opening from multiple apps in the background plus switching between them is a breeze, as does running a couple from low-intensity games such because of Subway Surfers and Angry Birds. The variant which I have for review happens to have 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, although yourself could opt for a lower RAM option without a significant drop in performance. Your storage requirements can be met using the expandable slot which gives you an additional 256GB of space with adding any microSD card.

I became an average activity playing graphics-intensive titles such as PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile, also that is to be expected at a phone which is within the budget range. What I did please to see meant that this device did not become hot plus laggy even after about an hour of gameplay on the phone. These settings could only last be maxed out to medium but for that average consumer, who is not concerned including good graphics or high frame rates, that should not be one deterrent.

Equally far as this audio quality of that phone goes, the speakers at the Realme 5S do slightly tinny but you can hear that sound playing across an empty room quite easily. The earpiece and mic also worked to my satisfaction. Another thing that had me impressed was how fast the capacitive fingerprint sensor worked, unlocking the phone into a flash. The face unlock was a bit of a hit and miss, but was usable insufficient lighting conditions, although I cannot speak for the security of that method. It is best to stay on a fingerprint unlock which means both safe and highly secure.

Something that requires to be said about Realme’s budget phones that year continues the exceptional battery life that this company does offering. That Realme 5S features that same 5,000mAh powerhouse borrowed from the Realme 5 which has been quite phenomenal, to state the least. While my battery test, which consisted of playing a single video on loop at half the max brightness and volume, that phone lasted for more further than 28 hours which is slightly lower than the 33 hours at Realme 5. The new phone supports OPPO’s proprietary VOOC 3.0 charging technology which can juice up the device into just above 2 hours.

Talking wherein the software side from things, that ColorOS 6.0.1 skin runs atop Android 9.0 Pie. There isn’t much I prison add that hasn’t been already said during our review of the Realme 3i which further makes use of the same skin, then head there for a further detailed explanation. Lengthy story short, you won’t be seeing some ads on your settings menu yet it won’t be because clean as that OnePlus’ OxygenOS. This being said, there are reports of ColorOS 7.0 being rolled escape soon and we will possess to see how good the experience means going to be when it comes out also becomes available to the Realme 5S.

Thus should you buy that Realme 5S? As y'all could have seen from my review, that offers very little incentive over that Redmi Note 8, which a really compelling phone in the sub-Rs 10,000 segments. Whatever you would certainly get in the Realme 5S is a cleaner including ad-free software experience plus a larger 5,000mAh battery. Is that enough to warrant a purchase? Even that borrowed 48MP sensor on the 5S does not appear to have any kind of significant boost over that Realme 5’s 12MP sensor. As of right now, it would appear that Redmi has the upper hand, but with that constant tech warfare that both companies find themselves in proper now, expect the former OPPO sub-brand to pull out everything the stops during its attendant budget smartphone

  • Beautiful pricing
  • Large 5,000mAh battery
  • Capable performance
  • Great software experience

  • 48MP camera requires improvement
  • Macro style is still bad
  • The display isn’t the greatest
